Sometimes in life our mental health suffers and we feel in need of help. Now, more than ever, we are aware of the importance of addressing, not ignoring, this. Depending our own back story, we will either reach out and find support or we drive the discomfort inside us, employing alternative strategies to avoid or numb the pain, prolonging and deepening the problems.
Sleepless nights, work pressures, connecting to painful childhood experiences, anxieties, difficulty finding a partner or maintaining a relationship, being an adult, money worries, drinking too much, loneliness, times of change, the death of someone we love, long term illness, a global pandemic, raising kids/teens, becoming a parent, losing a parent, midlife crisis, menopause, conflict with others, the breakdown of marriage, divorce, a broken heart, wanting to understand ourselves, knowing we need to change….
We all face some of these challenges, at some point in our lives and working them out alone is difficult, daunting and unlikely to succeed. To really understand and foster change we need someone to help us.
Therapy is a really important way in which to do this. A good, caring, qualified therapist will support you through the uncovering, discovering and development of your emotional and mental health and wealth.
Therapy provides a safe, trusted environment to experience, understand and repair your challenges. To be seen and heard without the burden of being alone in our pain, discomfort and sadness.
As a therapist, I hold unconditional positive regard for you and your life. Without judgement and with empathy I help you work through it.
Working on yourself with a caring, qualified therapist can help you gain insight and control, move forward and grow.
Confidentially and without judgement I can help you work towards insight, awareness, solutions and change in your life.
Explore any aspect of your relationship or address challenges and crises in it in order to move to a better place.
Through talking therapy with tools and techniques to use outside of sessions your issues can be addressed.
Issues cover intimacy, desire, high conflict or avoidant communication problems, affairs, mental health issues, parenting, identifying patterns and themes.
“I found working with Jennifer to be an incredibly enlightening experience which has completely transformed my life. She creates a safe space for you to open up and approaches her work with kindness and compassion. I highly recommend her as a therapist.”
“Jen has been an amazing therapist over the past year. She has truly helped me through so much and was always so warm and friendly. I never felt embarrassed to discuss personal things and she helped me work through my feelings in ways I’d never thought of. I now feel I can tackle things that come up in my life with a healthy and positive mindset.”
“Jen is straightforward, perceptive, kind and very easy to relate to. I would highly recommend her.”
“I started therapy with Jen after my mum passed away. I never thought I was someone who would need therapy, but I was getting anxious, having flash backs, and having issues with my sleep.
I thought I’d give it a try.
Jen made me feel comfortable straight away, she listened, and helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was. As the weeks went by, I realised how important it was to have our sessions, and how it was helping me, I really do feel that I’m coping better.
I have recommended Jen to several people, for different issues they’re going though. All of them are feeling the benefit from her support, knowledge and professionalism. I can’t recommend her enough, and will always have the most gratitude to Jen for helping lift me up again when I was feeling so low. Jen will be the first person I go to should I need any help, no matter what it is, she’s outstanding at what she does, and it helps too that she’s so very kind.”
